"Mud Mud Mud!"; The mothers decide to separate Sugar and Spike so they will learn to talk, but the only word they end up learning is "bang!". "The Magic Book," Peg and Barbara consult a child psychology book to figure out the kids' behavior. "First Haircut," Spike goes to the barber for the first time, which doesn't go very well. "The Don't-Touch Thing," Sugar learns why she is not supposed to touch the radiator. "Three-Wheel Driver," Spike's dad buys toy steering wheels for Spike and Sugar and takes them for a drive, which ends up getting him stopped twice by the police.
